We offer free advisement sessions and in-person appointments for students and faculty on campus.<\/p>\n<p>The JHRN Clinic for Performing Artists leverages the expertise of Peabody musicians and dancers alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive evaluation and treatment for performance-related injuries and conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Our team consists of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/physical_medicine_rehabilitation\/services\/programs\/performing-arts-rehab.html\">Johns Hopkins Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians and therapists<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/neurology_neurosurgery\/\">Johns Hopkins Medicine\u2019s neurologists<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/otolaryngology\/specialty_areas\/laryngology\/voice\/index.html\">Johns Hopkins Voice Center specialists<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a style=\"font-size: revert; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/orthopaedic-surgery\/specialty-areas\/index.html\">Johns Hopkins Orthopedic surgeons<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Referrals for Physical and Occupational Therapy <\/strong><br \/>\nMost insurances do not require a referral for students to be evaluated at the clinic. However, some insurances may require a referral. Students whose insurance requires a referral may seek an evaluation at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaffairs.jhu.edu\/student-health\/\">Student Health and Wellness Center<\/a> or through their primary care physician to obtain a referral. For those students on the student health insurance, the deductible will be reduced \u00a0to $75 with a referral from the Student Health and Wellness Center. Parental consent will be required for students under age 18 to receive treatment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost of Services<\/strong><br \/>\nServices at the Peabody Clinic will be billed to the patient\u2019s health insurance. The cost to the patient will depend on their health insurance coverage. Students who want to be seen at the Peabody Clinic are encouraged to call their health insurance company and ask what their physical therapy and occupational therapy benefits cover.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To make an appointment for physical or occupational therapy<\/strong><br \/>\nTo make an appointment for physical therapy or occupational therapy, call the scheduling line at 443-997-5476. Alternatively you may schedule an appointment through <a href=\"https:\/\/mychart.hopkinsmedicine.org\/MyChart\/Authentication\/Login?\">MyChart<\/a>. \u00a0If you are having difficulty making an appointment or have questions, email Andrea Lasner, the clinic manager, at PeabodyClinic@jhu.edu.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unsure whether you need a physical therapy or occupational therapy evaluation and\/or treatment, Peabody students, faculty, and staff may request an advisement session\u00a0 for a virtual appointment or walk in during open clinic hours on campus. An <strong>advisement session<\/strong> is a brief conversation to facilitate the navigation of care options based on the student or faculty member\u2019s complaint or injury.
