The registrant may request that time is spent in a variety of ways to support their teaching, including ideas on responding to specific technical, musical, or other teaching related issues, advice on teaching specific repertoire, repertoire suggestions for their students, or a lesson focusing on their own playing.<\/p>\n<p>Placement will be coordinated by Rebecca Henry, Associate Chair for String Pedagogy, and exact session days and times (ET) will be arranged directly with the faculty member. Rolling admission, with sessions available October through April.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2024-25 Tuition: $130 per 60-minute session<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-text-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/peabody.asapconnected.com\/#CourseID=290065\" style=\"background-color:#002d72\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register for String Private Pedagogy Sessions<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2>Pedagogy Master Classes 2025-26<\/h2>\n<h3>Rebecca Henry, Coordinator and Instructor (Violin\/Viola)<\/h3>\n<p>Online via Zoom and In Person<br \/>Saturdays \u00a03:00-5:30 pm ET<br \/>Downtown Peabody LH207<\/p>\n<p>This series is open to studio teachers, public school teachers, conductors and pedagogy students and a different set of topics are explored each year.<\/p>\n<p>Each session begins with a Master Class in which Peabody Preparatory students of a variety of levels perform unless a level for the class is specified.\u00a0 We will integrate work on the session topic into the music the student is performing to help integrate their technical and musical practice and understanding.<\/p>\n<p>A Teacher Workshop on the day\u2019s topic follows &#8211; Bring your instruments and your questions for an interactive session.<\/p>\n<p><em>Registration will close Friday noon the day prior to class. The zoom link will be emailed to registered participants after noon the day prior to class. A recording link will be sent to all participants within 3 days after the class and will be viewable for one month.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Class V1: Practice Strategies for Grades 3-8 with <a href=\"https:\/\/peabody.jhu.edu\/preparatory\/faculty\/rebecca-henry\/\">Rebecca Henry<\/a><br \/>October 18, 2025<\/h4>\n<p>We will practice passages a variety of ways that engage students in repetition, creativity and progress.\u00a0 Elementary level.<\/p>\n<h4>Class V2: Improve Your Vibrato Today with <a href=\"https:\/\/peabody.jhu.edu\/preparatory\/faculty\/rebecca-henry\/\">Rebecca Henry<\/a><br \/>January 31, 2026<\/h4>\n<p>We will explore a variety of exercises and adjustments to help improve a vibrato that is just taking shape or is solid but could use some variety or flexibility.\u00a0 All levels.<\/p>\n<h4>Class V3: Sing &#8211; Conduct &#8211; Play! with <a href=\"https:\/\/peabody.jhu.edu\/preparatory\/faculty\/rebecca-henry\/\">Rebecca Henry<\/a><br \/>March 7, 2026<\/h4>\n<div class=\"description\">\n<p>Develop musicianship in part by having students follow these three steps, and help identify technical solutions to help them \u00a0execute their musical ideas.
