The Pre-Conservatory Violin Program supports and challenges the most advanced, serious, and gifted violinists at the Preparatory. Young artists in this program are playing at the advanced level and display the artistic potential to pursue a performance career in music. All members take individual instruction with Peabody faculty.<\/p>\n
Auditions for the upcoming academic year will be held in person on Thursday, August 21, 2025, 5:30- 8:00 pm at the Downtown Campus.<\/p>\n
Pre-Conservatory Violin Program Audition Information 2025-26<\/a> Saturday 10:30 am \u2013 12:30 pm The Pre-Conservatory Violin Program includes: weekly private lessons with Peabody faculty; classes focusing on technique, musicianship, and performance; small ensemble and orchestra experience; collaborations with the Performance Academy for Strings; and piano accompanist for master classes, events, recitals, and competitions.<\/p>\n Performance Academy students are expected to practice two to four hours per day, prepare their ensemble music independently, and participate in all special events, including travel. Since PA classes and ensembles take place on Saturdays, students should expect to have their individual instruction on a weekday.<\/p>\n\n\n
