Fast Facts<\/h2>\n

The student body of about 800\u00a0students<\/strong> is half graduate students and half undergraduates. Students come from more than 40 states<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a030 countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Peabody alumni are award-winning composers<\/strong>, recording engineers<\/strong> at the highest levels of their industries, teachers<\/strong> at all levels of education, and performing members<\/strong> and conductors<\/strong> of more than 35 professional orchestras, including the Baltimore, National, Chicago, and Cleveland orchestras, as well as the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics.<\/p>\n

Peabody alumni and current faculty have won more than 17 Grammy Awards<\/strong> as well as Guggenheim fellowships, MacArthur grants, Emmy Awards, and Avery Fisher Career Grants, among other prizes.<\/p>\n

There are nearly 1,000 solo and ensemble performances and events<\/strong>\u00a0at Peabody between September and May of each year.<\/p>\n

More than 90%<\/strong> of Peabody students receive scholarships.<\/p>\n
